Privacy Policy
HomeLudora is a personal, non-commercial project. This page explains what data is collected when you use the site.
Authentication data
An encrypted, secure HttpOnly cookie on our API host keeps you connected between page loads.
Your browser also stores these non-secret account identifiers and sign-in hints in
localStorage:
-
ludora-nakama-device-id— a random UUID that identifies your anonymous account. -
ludora-nakama-owner— the account ID used to keep local progress separate between players. ludora-logged-in— a display hint for temporary connection errors.
Signing out revokes the server session and clears the cookie. Clearing your browser data also removes the cookie and local identifiers.
Scores & progress
When you are signed in, your scores are recorded on our server (Oracle Cloud, Marseille, France) under your display name on each game's own online leaderboard. These scores are publicly visible to other players, who see your display name and score. Level progress is stored on the server too and cached locally as a UI preference only.
Guests can play without publishing anything. If a guest chooses "Sign in to save", the run
is stashed in localStorage only long enough to complete sign-in, then submitted
to the server. Offline scores are not queued.
Google Sign-In (optional)
If you sign in with Google, Google Identity Services sends us a token containing your display name, email address, and Google ID. We use this solely to link your anonymous account to your Google account so your scores carry over. Your email is not stored for marketing and is not shared with third parties.
Your Google display name is saved on your account as your public name and is the name shown next to your scores on the leaderboards. You can change it at any time on your profile page; the name you choose is kept and is not overwritten on later sign-ins.
Third-party services
- Google Identity Services — optional sign-in button. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Font Awesome (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — icon font loaded from Cloudflare's CDN on every page.
